Our Story

RTS was founded with a clear vision: to create an intuitive, effective point-of-sale system tailored specifically for theatres. In the early 1990s, Rob Chabot—an experienced theatre operator himself—recognized a gap in the industry. The available solutions were either too complex or not designed with the unique needs of cinemas in mind. Determined to build a better system, Rob began developing software that prioritized simplicity, speed, and reliability.


What started as a solution for a small family-operated theatre chain quickly evolved into a comprehensive platform trusted by theatres of all sizes. With a passion for problem-solving and a deep understanding of the industry, Rob infused RTS with features that streamline operations and elevate the guest experience. 


Over 30 years later, RTS remains true to its roots, continually innovating while staying committed to the principles that Rob established: providing user-friendly, adaptable technology backed by exceptional support.
